<aside> 🌆 Six months have passed since the Dreamhacker incident. The second semester came and went with little fanfare, with small AFIs popping up here and there, largely taken care of by June and assorted BURP agents. However, summer is upon us, and that means an uptick in larger-scale AFIs. The gang gets wind of a Renaissance Fair taking place near Culver, with one strange catch: Not everyone who enters those gates returns after the fair has its closing ceremonies each evening.

REN FAIR NAME: Pacific Northwest Summer’s Festival
DAY: The Renaissance Fair comes to town. Strange whisperings of weird things happening there are heard, but that only drives crowds more. The Maiden of Fortune becomes a popular attraction.
SHADOWS: The Maiden gives prophecies (for a fee) to those who visit her. They all seem to come true. Claudia Martinez, a performer at the fair, starts to investigate. Meanwhile, Jordan Briarwood tries to keep Claudia calm and prevent word from getting out.
DUSK: Claudia runs into the Maiden, who utters a prophecy that “she will find herself in a stunning new world.” Confused, Claudia keeps investigating.
SUNSET: Claudia finds evidence that the Maiden is an ancient fey being. As the Sun sets, Jordan sees Claudia vanish into thin air.
NIGHTFALL: Jordan, inconsolable, is found by the Maiden. She utters a prophecy foretelling their doom. Shortly thereafter, a Seelie fairy stabs Jordan and leaves them for dead.
MIDNIGHT: Using the belief the Ren Fair visitors have in the Maiden’s prophecies, she has gained enough power to overtake the Ren Fair and summon more Seelie beings to take over this section of the Timber Expanse.
