<aside> 🌆 It's Homecoming for Paul Bunyan High! School spirit is at an all-time high, and everyone is going to the Homecoming Dance. The faculty planning the event were looking for a DJ before meeting a strange person who offered to run the event, so long as a student named Sam Owston attends. Now the gang has to get to the bottom of who this person is, what they want, and how to stop them before the entire student body dances till they're dead!

Natasha, you are once again floating in a featureless dark void. A large, humanoid figure appears before you, fading into view. It has 6 massive eyes, no other facial features, and pale skin stretched over a thin frame. As it begins reaching for you, you look down. You see a gathering of hooded figures illuminated by candlelight. They fade into the void, and we cut to an empty street near Paul Bunyan High School.
We open on an empty street at night. We see the outside of Paul Bunyan High School. A teacher is leaving, walking towards her car. She’s on the phone.
“What do you mean we haven’t gotten a DJ yet? The dance is on Friday!” As she says this, a shadowy figure approaches her in the parking lot. The teacher tries to wave him away, but he keeps walking toward her. “One minute.”
“Hear you need a DJ? I can be of assistance.”
“That’s not how that works. I’ll need to speak with the Planning Committee first.”
“No Need.” Suddenly, a mind-shatteringly high-pitched sound rings out from the figure. The teacher’s eyes roll back for a few seconds before she returns to normal.
“Well, Principal Gardner, I may have found us a new DJ for the dance.” She hangs up.
“How do you want to be paid?”
“I don’t need any money. Just make sure that they attend.” The figure pulls out a Polaroid photo, revealing a tattoo of an eye held open by chains. The photo depicts two students: Sam Owston and Winnie Hill sitting together in the Culver Memorial Cemetery.
We cut back to Natasha’s Dream.
Somehow, without a mouth to speak, the being says the following while reaching forward to grab you:
[PLAY AUDIO CLIP]
And you wake up.
DAY: The Midnight DJ from the Unblinking Eye is hired to play Paul Bunyan’s Homecoming Dance. He tells the faculty he needs to perform nightly sound checks during the week leading up to the dance.
SHADOWS: Gina Silvers begins investigating these sound checks and remembers the events from the Cloudbuster Incident. She begins trying to search for answers.
DUSK: The sound check music changes from standard pop fare to dark, distorted noise and gurgling. A teacher who stayed late one night gets a brain hemorrhage and is sent to the hospital.
SUNSET: The night of the dance. Sam is in attendance with Winnie when she mentions not feeling very good, eventually passing out. Meanwhile, the Midnight DJ warps two chaperones into terrifying, distorted beings which patrol the halls, preventing easy access to the power room.
